The Signs of the Time-is it because of 2012?

There is a lot of chatter in the metaphysical communities about the signs and symbols predating the coming of 2012.  I’m sure most of my readers know about the predictions the Mayan made about 2012, if not go to http://www.eternitysfire.com/mayancalendar.html. 

 

2012 is the date some skeptics believe is the end times whereas, others see it as a time of transformation where the planet and all its living creatures are able to move into the Fifth Dimension. It’s only four months before 2012 and 16 months before the infamous date of December 21, 2012.  Many are looking for any signs that might give an indication of what that date holds.  Recently, I read a Planetary Message from the Hathors through Tom Kenyon. For those who aren’t familiar with his work, Tom Kenyon is  an author, psychotherapist, shaman, sound healer, songwriter, singer and channeler of the Hathor material. 

Who are the Hathors?  According to Tom Kenyon-- The Hathors say that they are a group of interdimensional, intergalactic beings who were connected ancient Egypt through the Temples of the Goddess Hathor, as well as several other pre-history cultures. In the late 1980′s, I was “contacted” by them during meditation, and they began to instruct me in the vibratory nature of the cosmos, the use of sacred geometry as a means to stimulate brain performance, and in the use of sound to activate psycho-spiritual experiences

December 21, 2010- the Coming of the Light

The other day I received the nicest gift from a friend--The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards by Colette Baron-Reid. If you have been following my blog then you know this was the perfect gift for me. This deck is based on the mythology of one of my favorite places, the Isle of Avalon or Glastonbury in the UK. As I became acquainted with the deck, I immediately felt the powerful insightfulness of the oracles-Goddesses/priestesses. I thought about the triple event happening today, December 21, 2010: the winter solstice, the full moon/total eclipse and 3:3:3 numerical blueprint of the day.

 Intuitively, I received the following message after doing a five card spread. Humanity needs to pay special attention to the subtle energies of the day because they are precursors of what to expect but on a much grander scale on December 21, 2012. Change is coming and as co-creators of this world we have a stake in how this transformation will take place. There are many dire predictions about this day, but it will not be the end of the world. We will experience even more of the Great Shift that has already started and will cross over all cultures and social-economic systems of the universe.

On December 21, 2010 we have a full moon symbolizing the Goddess energy of illusion and intuitive and the winter solstice, a time of rebirth. Winter solstice or mid-winter day for the northern hemisphere occurs every year on December 21, when the sun is at its lowest and weakest point. It is the shortest day of the year. Ancient civilizations, which were connected with the cycles of nature, revered and celebrated the day because it meant the coming of the light. December 21 represented a pivot point from which the sun grew stronger and brighter promising warmth for the land. The concept of the birth of the sun is a pagan holiday that many religions have adapted to their faiths. The day also offers us a chance to awaken from  programs of thoughts and feelings that keep us locked into illusions to be reborn into a world of light. To accept this energy and prepare ourselves for the coming of the light we have to go within. I suggest you set aside a time for meditation at 12 noon or 12 midnight for 12 to 21 minutes. You don’t have to do anything elaborate, just be in a space of quietness, receptivity, and belief. That’s all it takes. You’ll be connecting with many people around the globe awakening to higher consciousness. Then you might want to write your own letter on how you are responding to the Great Shift. Save it and look at it again on 12.21.2012.

 Talking to Wanda and her readers about my spiritual journey, I thought about all the wonderful people and magnificence places I had visited in my lifetime. One person in particular stood out for me-- Drunvalo Melchizedek, teacher and mentor. He introduced me to a wealth of spiritual knowledge and a view of our world that most people have no idea exist. I attended both of his well-known workshops Flowers of Life and Earth/sky, and traveled with him to Peru and Bolivia. I also attended the Sacred Geometry Conference in Sedona, Arizona where he was a presenter. So, I have a history with Drunvalo.

Movie--2012

I finally got around to seeing the movie 2012.  Sitting in the theater waiting for the movie to start, I pulled out my iPod touch and made short notes of all the things I knew was going to be wrong about this movie. 

For one, Hollywood had probably sensationalized the Mayan’s prediction regarding the end of a great cosmic year. I anticipated there would be many fear based scenes to frighten everyone that the end of the world was coming on December 21, 2012. I was ready to write a critical review about the movie. 

Two hours later, I left the theater feeling much better than when I entered. I enjoyed the film. I got caught up in the technology, suspense, and fast-pace action. It was a doomsday film, but not heavily fearful or emotional. Maybe because Hollywood has made a number of these end of the world movies in the last couple of years. In fact, 2012 mirrors The Day After Tomorrow, starting Dennis Quaid. 2012 also used the scene where the airplane is full of cars and the main cast jumps into one of the cars and drives out of the back of the plane just before it crashes on a mountain top. I think they got that one from one of the James Bonds’ movies.  

 Well, I don’t want to tell you too much more about it, except to say they did explain the prophecies very well. If you have seen Quaid’s movies or any other end of the world films then don’t bother about going to see 2012. Wait until it comes out on DVD.

Hollywood is at it again sensationalizing the myth surrounding the date 2012. Unfortunately, many people will latch on to this idea of doom and gloom, because many ancient societies predicted that something monumental was going to happen. They pointed to an end of a time.

We are coming to the end of a great year. It takes 25,920 years for the equinoxes to move through all 12 zodiac signs. The planet Earth is now leaving the Age of Pisces, which has been the Christian era to enter the quadrant of Aquarius. Could this be the dawning of the New Age? The time leading up to 2012 is called the Great Awakening–a time when we will be awakened to a new consciousness or a time when humanity will be unified spiritually through a period of intense transformation. However, letting films like 2012, stir up fear within us will keep us stuck in the old programs.

The Great Awakening is the time allotted for cleansing and change-to allow us to prepare to vibrate at a higher level of consciousness or thinking. We don’t know what is going to happen. So, don’t quit your job, run up your credit or live hazardously trying to squeeze in life before 2012.

In July, I attended Gregg Braden’s workshop at the Unity village in Kansas City, Missouri. Gregg the author of Fractual Time and many other New Age books stated this isn’t the first time a great cosmic year has come to an end. And humankind survived to record the event. This is a new beginning. He stressed that we must live from the heart to stay strong and protect the Earth’s magnetic field, because our thoughts will either strengthen or weaken it. That's why we can't buy into the fear.
