The Prophecy of the Condor and Eagle is it Happening Now?

One of my dear friends asked me what I had heard about the Prophecy of the Condor and Eagle at this particular time period --2011.  Because of the work she does as a Reiki Master and intuitive lightworker, she is very much connected to the shifts and vibrations of the planet and collective humanity and felt deeply about the shooting of U.S. Rep. Senator Gabrielle Giffords and the dying birds.  I knew she was guiding me to this powerful prophecy about human consciousness. You will understand once you have read the following excerpt From Confessions of an Economic Hit Man (page 209) by John Perkins:
Nearly every culture I know prophesies that in the late 1990's we entered a period of remarkable transition. At monasteries in the Himalayas, ceremonial sites in Indonesia, and indigenous reservations in North America, from the depths of the Amazon to the peaks of the Andes, and into the ancient Mayan cities of Central America, I have heard that ours is a special moment in human history, and that each of us was born at this time because we have a mission to accomplish. The titles and the words of the prophecies differ slightly. They tell variously of a New Age, the Third Millennium, the Age of Aquarius, the Beginning of the Fifth Sun, or the end of old calendars and the commencement of new ones. Despite the varying terminologies, however, they have a great deal in common, and “The Prophecy of the Condor and Eagle” is typical. It states that back in the mists of history, human societies divided and took different paths: that of the condor (representing the heart, intuitive and mystical) and that of the eagle (representing the brain, rational and material). In the 1490's, the prophesy said, the two paths would converge and the eagle would drive the condor to the verge of extinction. Then, five hundred years later, in the 1990's a new epoch would begin, one in which the condor and the eagle will have the opportunity to reunite and fly together in the same sky, along the same path. If the condor and eagle accept this opportunity, they will create a most remarkable offspring, unlike any seen before. “The Prophecy of the Condor and Eagle” can be taken at many levels — the standard interpretation is that it foretells the sharing of indigenous knowledge with the technologies of science, the balancing of yin and yang, and the bridging of northern and southern cultures. However, most powerful is the message it offers about consciousness; it says that we have entered a time when we can benefit from the many diverse ways of seeing ourselves and the world, and that we can use these as a springboard to higher levels of awareness. As human beings we can truly wake up and evolve into a more conscious species.

The Hopi Prophecy a Message for You and Humanity

While talking to a friend the other day about the BP Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexcio, I happened to mention the Hopi prophecy. She asked me about it. She knew about the Mayan Calendar and the significance of 2012, but hadn’t heard about the Hopi prophecy. The Hopi are a Native American tribe of the Four Corners area of the Southwestern United States. Their name means “peaceful people.” Their prophecy dates back several thousand years as an oral tradition.  Part of the prophecy is recorded on a sacred rock that has a pictogram of events. The Hopi prophecy tells about the two roads that humankind can choose to travel: the red road of spirituality and attain harmony with the Earth or the black road of the material world and cause the ruin of the earth. We only have to take an inventory of recent events in the world from the wars, oil spills, natural disasters and financial downfalls to know what road that we as a society are following. The Prophecy also says that there are crossroads where humanity can choose to cross over to the red road. However, we will reach the point of no return. Ask yourself what path you are following, because Individuals may follow the red road, while humanity follows the other road.  The Hopi Elders ask that once you are aware of their prophecy you share it with others to create a consciousness of awareness and understanding. Awareness and understanding can help wake up humanity to choose the red road to bring back harmony and balance to our planet.
