How powerful can this be that Earth Day is going to be celebrated on a day that has triple fours? This will definitely be a special day. Earth Day is the time we stop and honor the planet and commit to going green. We can't afford to  take our natural resources for granted. In decades to come we won't have clean air or wate if we don't take care of our environment now. The catastrophic event of the nuclear reactors in Japan is a wake-up call for humanity to  revisit the issue of nuclear energy. We must ask the question is it in harmony and balance with the planet and its inhabitants?

Numerically, the single digit 4 represents structure, time, and the earth. The numbers of this day are not by chance; its a symbolic message from the Divine Mind. 444 is about angle love and protection. This will be a powerful day as thousands of angels surround the planet. The angels will come to reassure us that Divine Protection is with us no matter how unsettling things might get in this revoluntary cycle. It reminds me of the verse in the Christian Bibe: He will give His angels charge of you. Psalm 91:11

For those of us who are sensitive to Earth energies, we will be able to hear the angelic music and perhaps have contact with one or two of them. Remember they come in many forms and always assist us to reach our highest good. Be open and receptive to their magnificent energy.

Live Like It's Heaven on Earth

Yesterday was Earth Day so I decided to go to my favorite place—the garden. Once there I pulled out my iPod, inserted the ear plugs in my ears and turned on the meditative music. I grabbed my inner child’s hand and off we went across the Bridge of Understanding to the labyrinth. What a magnificent scene lay ahead of me. The weather was perfect, the garden was perfect and so was I. As I went to step into the labyrinth for my meditative walk, Michael Jackson’s song, The Man in the Mirror, blasted into my ears. Not knowing what happened to the soft, sweet sound I was listening to, I reached to change the music when my inner child said, “Let it be.”

Instead of my usual slow walk with my hands held at my side, I danced through the twisted path with my whole body moving to the beat. By the time I reached the circle, I was in full swing of the music--alive with an energy that pushed the stress out of my body, mind and soul. I danced in the circle as if no one was watching. My spirit was one with nature and my inner child was egging me to be me. Finally, when the music stopped, I faced each of the four directional signs and gave thanks to the Creator for our beautiful planet and the resources she constantly give us for our survival. I looked across at the green grass, the tall trees, and  the pond with the geese, turtles and frogs and knew for that moment in time I was lost in a space that is neither here or there; I was everywhere and everything.

I danced out of the labyrinth, and then stood on a nearby rock and lifted my arms to Father Sky as people walked by. Oh yeah, I danced a few more steps before skipping down the path with my inner child in hand. I was living like it was heaven on Earth.

Now is the Time--Earth Day April 22, 2010

I hope you understand what Earth Day is truly about. Once you do, you will appreciate the time and effort and human contributions in making our country a healthier environment. Behind every great movement there is a spirit of some type of injustice. The movement brings awareness to the injustice and to get people to take a stand against the injustice. In most cases the energy associated with both the movement and injustice proliferates as in the case of the Environmental Movement.

The environmental injustice in America didn’t just start in the 1970s, but in the early settling of this country. The movie, Avatar, is a perfect example of how the native’s belief of preserving and honoring the mineral, plant and animal life clashed with their suppressors, who believed in cultivating and using the land for power and procurement of money. Environmentalism is also rooted in the American Philosophical Thought of the 1830s and 1840s by such Transcendentalist as Henry David Thoreau. In his book, Maine Woods, he called for the conservation of and the respect for nature and the federal preservation of virgin forest. Those in power didn’t listen. They pushed for expansion toppling anything, place or person that got in the way. And that brings us to the 1970s.

By then, environmental groups had sprung up fighting against oil spills, polluting factories and power plants, raw sewage, toxic dumps, pesticides, freeways, the loss of wilderness, and the extinction of wildlife. I remember the commercial, “Keep American Beautiful-the Crying Indian.” It carried a powerful message: If people can start pollution, they can also stop it. See the video above.

On April 22, 1970, the Environmental Movement was born when the then U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, Gaylord Nelson, organized the first nationwide environment protest. Here’s the paradox: the Environmental Movement led to the establishment of United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Act. And that was a good thing; but it’s sad that we need laws to protect that which should be natural. We now have to pay for water, and I’m concerned that in the future we might have to pay for clean air. Sounds bizarre? But decades ago so did paying for water. The fight for a clean environment continues as one tear has turned into millions of global tears.
