November 11, 2012
Dear Friends,
As
you can see from the above list, this month offers nonstop tailwinds
for transformation, intensified by a total solar eclipse on November 13
and a lunar eclipse on November 28. All this makes it imperative to stay
as centered and present as possible, in order to recognize new
dimensional doorways and the changes necessary for our ascension in
consciousness. Repetitive dreams, persistent intuitions, recurring
issues are all soul messages calling for action. Listen to your inner
guidance. Do what brings you peace, balance, and joy. We are receiving
unprecedented support from many levels; know that your efforts are being
amplified by celestial matching grants. Remember that every ending is a
beginning, and that everything is connected -- as you shift, the world
shifts.
Light
encodes information. Every second, our Sun beams three billion
megawatts of ultraviolet, x-ray, and other forms of electromagnetic
energy to Earth. Twice a year our Moon blocks that constant stream of
solar radiation. During those few moments, the energetic grids
supporting creation are reconfigured and rebooted. Old programs are
erased; new templates emerge. Solar eclipses thus function as
extra-powerful new moons, signaling a time of major endings and
beginnings. They occur close to the same degree every 19 years; on
November 13, 1993, there was a partial solar eclipse at 22º Scorpio.
What was important in your life then? Where are you ready to go to the next level? This
is also a SuperMoon, where the Moon is both at perigee (closest to the
Earth) and syzygy (in line with the Sun and Earth), intensifying
gravitational pulls on tides, tectonic plates, and our psyches as well.
While only those in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific will
witness this as a total eclipse, all of us will receive its
transformative download.
This
new moon/eclipse is closely linked with the solar eclipse of May 20 and
the rare June 4 Transit of Venus. According to astrologer Marcus Mason (http://heavenandearthastrology.blogspot.com): “On November 13 at
the moment of Maximum Eclipse, the Sun’s and Moon’s north-south
‘meridian’ lines will be aligned over Hawaii Big Island and Maui, whilst
the Eclipse shadow itself will be crossing the South Pacific, running
parallel to the planetary Great Female Dragon (Rainbow Serpent) Line. This
Eclipse is a mirror image of the Annular Eclipse of May 20 2012, which
traversed the North Pacific and crossed the Great Male Dragon (Plumed
Serpent) Line at Mount Fuji, Japan and Mount Shasta,
California. Together these two Eclipses bring the possibility for
healing the imbalances between the masculine and feminine aspects of
consciousness within humans, societies, countries, businesses,
international relations and the planet herself.”
Not
only are the Sun and Moon in Scorpio, but Saturn and the North Node as
well. The archetype of Scorpio walks the razor’s edge, aware of constant
temptations, the primal choice between Light and Dark. Scorpio was
originally represented by a symbol long associated with healing and
transformation—the serpents coiled around the Caduceus (Hermes’ staff
and the symbol for the medical profession) and coiled at the base of the
spine (signifying Kundalini energy). The 8th sign was later symbolized
by a progression of images: the Scorpion, the Eagle, and the Dove, along
with the Phoenix rising from the ashes of the ego. The myth of Pluto,
Persephone, and Demeter illustrates the spiritual journey of this sign:
an abduction and decent into the Underworld, confrontation with death,
and resurrection into greater consciousness and self-empowerment.
Each
culture honors these fundamental truths. Pele the Creator. Shiva the
Destroyer. Cerridwen the transformer. Before we bring in the new, we
must offer up the old. If we are unable to move forward, we must find
out what is holding us back. We need to bring light to the dark, to what
is still hidden in the unconscious. Our shadow contains not only our
less admirable qualities, but also anything that has been repressed or
denied—our power, our truth, our light. Name and dialogue with your
demons; the more conscious we make them, the less power they have in our
unconscious. Shadows and fears fade in the light of awareness. Healing
happens when we bring light to the dark, to what has been unsaid or
deemed unacceptable. Read Robert Johnson book Owning Your Shadow and watch the film The Shadow Effect. Use Leslie Temple Thurston’s powerful "squares" shadow-clearing technique, described in her book The Marriage of Spirit) and posted at: http://www.corelight.org/resources/marriage-of-spirit/chapters/chapter-eleven/. This new moon/solar eclipse exposes our deepest desires, fears, and destiny.
At the heart of our Milky Way Galaxy lies a super-massive Black Hole,
millions of times larger than our Sun, which not only absorbs but also
transmits enormous amounts of electromagnetic energy. The Mayans called
this Hunab Ku, the Sun behind the Sun Mars, the traditional ruler of
Scorpio, is closely conjunct the Galactic Center (at 27º Sagittarius)
during this Solar Eclipse, focalizing the electromagnetic radiation
emanating from the galactic core, supporting the release of old beliefs
and presumptions, as well as the remembrance of our cosmic origins and
mission.
Our
readiness to take big spiritual steps forward is signaled by Neptune
and Chiron, both in Pisces, ending their five month retrograde phases
(November 11 and 14 respectively). When any celestial body stations
retrograde or direct, its energies are intensified, as it hovers around
one degree for weeks. Neptune stationed retrograde on June 4; Chiron
stationed retrograde on June 11. What has changed for you since then?
What are you drawn to do now? Saturn in Scorpio continues to form a
grand trine in water with Neptune, Chiron, and Ceres, instructing us to
pay close attention to our feelings, heal old trauma, and follow our
heart. Ceres, which stationed retrograde on October 31 at 3$43’ Cancer,
remains opposite Pluto and square Uranus through the end of the month,
revealing where we are still caught in codependency and denial. Saturn’s
quincunx to Uranus (exact November 15 at 4º55’ Scorpio-Aries) pressures
us to change what we can, and let go of what we can’t.
This
extra potent new moon/solar eclipse cautions us to be mindful of our
motivations, and to use our power wisely. Darkness is only where the
light has not yet gone. Bring your light to the dark. Bring your love
and wisdom to whatever situation is calling for healing and
transformation. This new moon reminds us that we always have power, we always have a choice, and we all have something important to offer.
The prayer of Saint Francis, spoken centuries ago, is very appropriate for these times:
"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life."
Namaste,
Stephanie Austin
