Dear Friends,
Keep your spiritual seat belt fastened; we’re experiencing another wave of solar flares, as well as a series of major astrological shifts. According to “A double CME (coronal mass ejection) hit Earth's magnetic field on June 16th. The impact strongly compressed Earth's magnetosphere, exposing geosynchronous satellites to solar wind plasma and sparking more than 24 hours of geomagnetic storms.” And from researcher Mitch Battros (“Solar Cycle 24 has begun - and it has been predicted by NASA, NOAA and ESA to be up to 50% stronger than its 'record breaking' predecessor Cycle 23 which produced the largest solar flare ever recorded... Just as the Sun's solar activity affects the Earth's magnetic field which has a dramatic affect on Earth's "weather" i.e. earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, hurricanes; so does this wave of electrical currents affect the human body's magnetic field.” We're receiving almost continuous cosmic upgrades, altering our physiology and psyche. Keep listening to your body and intuition. Eliminate as much stress in your life as you can. For a good article on ascension symptoms, see and watch a five minute video at
The next new moon forms on Tuesday, June 19 at 29º Gemini. New moons are optimal times to plant new seeds and set new intentions. They symbolize the commencement of a new cycle, and this one especially so. On May 20 we had a new moon at the very beginning of Gemini; on June 19 we have a new moon at the end of that sign. The first degree of any sign symbolizes an initiation and a new phase of development; the last degree represents a completion and transition to the next level. The archetype of Gemini seeks to sample as much of life as possible, exploring duality in order to ultimately realize the inseparability of all dichotomies. The Gemini Twins were originally depicted by a male and a female; Chinese and Hindu zodiacs still portray this sign with a woman and man, illustrating that all polarities—female/male, day/night, birth/death—are reconciled within the great wheel of life. As the esoteric ruler of Gemini, Venus represents the divine marriage, as does the alchemical Mercurius, an androgynous figure symbolizing the unification of opposites. These two new moons in Gemini, occurring before and after the rare Venus transit of the Sun on June 5, urge us to balance and integrate masculine and feminine, head and heart, matter and spirit.
The new moon which forms on June 19 is further potentized by several other factors: its proximity to the solstice on June 20 and opposition to the Galactic Center at 27° Sagittarius; its formation just before the first of seven exact squares of Uranus and Pluto on June 24; Saturn’s station direct on June 25; Venus ending its retrograde phase on June 27; and its very close conjunction with the red giant star Betelgeuse at 29° Gemini.
Solstices have long been recognized by cultures around the world as important turning points, and are especially powerful times for prayer and ceremony. The word 'solstice' comes from the Latin words for sun and to stand still; twice a year, the Sun appears to rise and set at the same time and place for three days. After the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, we experience "The Return of the Light", as the Sun begins to rise earlier and set later. Six months later, at the summer solstice, we experience the reverse, energetically shifting from yang to yin. Now inner growth becomes more necessary; the forms we have manifested since the winter solstice must be nourished and provided with supportive structures. The power of the feminine to bond with others, to feel what is needed, to nurture and protect, must come forward.
Solstices function as energetic gateways, allowing a greater influx of stellar radiation as the axial tilt of the Earth comes to a gravitational standstill for three days. Because the summer and winter solstices are now also closely aligned with the Galactic Cross — the intersection of the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy with the ecliptic (the path of the Earth around the Sun) — each solstice (and equinox) provides a wider portal for the celestial downloads which are accelerating humanity’s evolution. This new moon peaks just 32 hours before the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the winter solstice in the Southern, focalizing transmissions from the massive Black Hole at the center of our galaxy, providing tremendous energetic support for releasing old patterns and beliefs. According to James Tyberonn, who channels Archangel Metatron (, the solstice “opens a window in causal space time as perceived from the Earth that enables an influx passage of enormous energy gates for a period of 144 hours; 72 hours prior and 72 hours after the Heliotropic halt seemingly occurs.” Receive the gifts of this time in meditation, prayer, and community. Visualize and affirm what you wish to bring into the world. Surround yourself with what inspires and nourishes you. Attune to the messages streaming from the galactic core and your higher self. We are preparing for a quantum leap.
Our readiness to move forward increases as Saturn ends its five-month retrograde phase on June 25, and Venus ends its 43-day retrograde on June 27. We’ve been reviewing our values, commitments, and priorities; we are now ready to act on what we have learned and what has changed since Saturn turned retrograde on February 7 and Venus on May 15. On June 11, Jupiter began its once-every-12-years passage through Gemini; Jupiter remains within 12° of Venus until July 27, generating new connections, new truths, and new possibilities in communication, education, and cross-cultural exchange. Ceres, the dwarf planet symbolizing the Great Goddess, moves into Gemini on June 23, empowering new alliances and expressions of the feminine.
The Sun and Moon’s close conjunction with Betelgeuse and opposition to the Galactic Center funnels even more cosmic support for transformation. Betelgeuse is one of the largest and most luminous bodies in the sky, and is the brightest star in Orion, a constellation closely observed in the ancient world. The Great Pyramid at Giza, the pyramid complex of Teotihuacán in Mexico, ancient Hopi villages in the United States, and a Neolithic complex in North Yorkshire, England were all built to align with Orion. Betelgeuse’s name derives from the Arabic root for “the central one,” and according to Alice Bailey and Djwhal Khul: “Influential and potent forces are pouring in at this time from the great stars Betelgeuse and Sirius… they produce a stimulation of the heart center (Betelgeuse) and the head center (Sirius).” (Esoteric Psychology II, p. 721)
This new moon and solstice marks a threshold of major endings and beginnings. Breakdowns happen so that breakthroughs can occur. Relationships, institutions, and anything not aligned with the highest good for all concerned are being challenged to evolve or dissolve. We’re being given a cosmic test and a summons to stand in our truth and in our power. This is a time of great challenge and great opportunity. Each thought, word, and deed matters. Be as impeccable and compassionate as you can, for this new moon shows us: “The world is too dangerous for anything but truth, and too small for anything but love.” (William Sloane Coffin)
